AP-VR1000 video service router is a next-generation video codec equipment based on High performance DSP. It is equipped with two port 10/100Mbps Ethernet interface and one multimedia slot for various video/audio codec modules. It provides excellent performance for video application such as high-quality network video broadcasting equipment, network cameras and real time video conferencing solutions.
The AP-VR1000 enables head offices to participate face-to-face with their remote office around the world while providing a reliable, easy-to-manage, cost-effective video application solution.
As a modular type IP based video codec system, the AP-VR1000 provides the visual communication solution over various WAN environments such as xDSL, cable TV and Internet leased lines. The AP-VR1000 is standards-based and interoperates efficiently with video solutions from other vendors as well as pre-existing video solutions from AddPac, such as the high performance multiservice router, AP5850, video phone, AP-VP300, video gateway, AP-VG1000 to participate in any size video solution.
Firmware upgradeable DSP based HW Codec
The video codec module of the AP-AR1000, AP-AV1000 supports audio and video encoding/decoding based on High performance and programmable DSP. This allows for future compatibility in adopting new capabilities and advanced features by downloading the latest firmware from the AddPac website or with its automated-upgrade software.
High Performance Video Processing Capability
Based on the MPEG-4 codec, AP-VR1000 supports maximum of 30 fps VGA (640x480) and it is capable of controlling frame rate and bit rate according to the available network bandwidth. As well, remote control functions of PAN/TILT/Zoom are possible via RS232C or RS422 control ports of the codec module.
Remote management capabilities
The AP-VR1000 provides effective management for remote system monitoring, configurations and software upgrade via Telnet or FTP. It also offers a GUI based management tool for various applications such as network camera and video broadcasting.
Video monitoring : The network DVR solution of AddPac Technology for video monitoring or surveillance consists of two system parts. One is high performance PC server based software DVR for video decoding, real-time display, and storing. It is usually located at centralized monitoring place. The other parts are video edge equipment such as AddPac Technology's video service routers, video gateways, video phones, etc. These systems generally are located at remote site. Under video surveillance application mode, AP-VR1000 performs the video encoding and sends encoded video bit-stream to DVR system at central site.
Video broadcasting : The video broadcasting solution of AddPac Technology consists of two system parts. One is high performance embedded system based broadcasting server, AP5850, for video encoding, video transmission, and storing. It is usually located at centralized broadcasting place or studio. The other parts are video edge equipment such as AddPac Technology's video service routers, video gateways, video phones, etc. These systems generally are located at remote site. Under video broadcasting application mode, AP-VR1000 receive the encoded video broadcasting bit-stream from broadcasting server at central site and performs the video decoding ,and then TV or monitor display via RCA or BNC cable.
