AP-BCR5000 IP audio/voice broadcasting router is a IP based audio broadcasting router which is operated along with AddPac IP audio/voice broadcasting server (AP-ABS5000, AP3120,etc) to broadcast the compressed IP audio bit stream in form of 1:N for broadcasting or multicasting broadcast. AddPac IP audio broadcasting solution provides audio(voice) broadcasting in form of multicasting or broadcasting to IP broadcasting endpoint terminals (AP1601, AP1601N, AP1605, etc)
At the front, it provides two(2) CPU module slots for IP broadcasting routing service. Each CPU card supports two(2) port 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet interface, RS-232 console interface for CLI (Command Line Interface). It is applicable to various IP based real time audio or voice broadcasting fields along with AddPac IP audio or voice broadcasting server and IP based audio/voice broadcasting terminals.
The popularity of Audio over IP broadcasting service has been increasing as much as interesting about IP network based high quality audio broadcasting. IP based high quality audio broadcasting is hard to approach in spite of the high performance of hardware device due to the bandwidth, network infrastructure and high cost of introduction. AddPac now opens a whole new world of IP based audio broadcasting in low bandwidth environment at a reasonable price. It is applicable to various application sites like as government, local government, military, enterprise, etc. AP-BCR5000 IP broadcasting router is an important component of efficient IP based broadcasting network configuration along with IP audio/voice broadcasting server, IP audio/voice broadcasting terminal, and broadcasting management system.
Real Time IP Audio Broadcasting
This device can be used as IP based real time audio broadcasting service router using RTP/RTSP protocol in finance, local government, and enterprise. High quality real time broadcasting is possible using existing network. AP-ABS5000 IP audio broadcasting server in headquarter + AP-BCR5000 broadcasting router will transmit the audio/voice bit-stream to the several hundred branches.
IP Broadcasting, Multicasting, Relay
AP-BCR5000 IP broadcasting router supports an efficient IP broadcasting network configuration in IP based enterprise IP broadcasting solution. Transmitting bandwidth in IP based audio/voice broadcasting environment requires 64Kbps~several hundred Kbps of bandwidth even when it is embedded with high efficient audio/voice compression codec. If required bandwidth transmission is Unicast Network, broadcasting process requires a large number of transmission bandwidth and process performances. In case of Multicast Network, broadcast transmitting can be processed in network so that bandwidth traffic can be reduced significantly using IGMP protocol.
Supporting IGMP multicasting transmit network in enterprise network is rare; IP broadcasting network is configured using Unicast network. In case of Unicast network, planning/configuring of billing may be difficult in network infrastructure when having hundreds of Mbps or Gigabps except network configuration star structure between headquarter and branches is Unicast network. AP-BCR5000 IP broadcasting router take into account all IP based broadcasting delivery network to implement broadcasting, multicasting, and broadcasting relay service more flexibly. Especially, AP-BCR5000 broadcasting router allows relay broadcasting to the several sites by receiving broadcasting data from AP-BCR5000 router in case of broadcasting relay service.
Multisession Broadcasting Router Solution
AddPac IP broadcasting solution is composed of AP-ABS5000 IP audio broadcasting server, AP-BCR5000 IP broadcasting router, and IP broadcasting endpoint terminal. AP-ABS5000 IP audio broadcasting server is embedded with media encoder to transmit compressed audio bit-stream to IP audio broadcasting endpoint terminals like as AP1601N.
AP-BCR5000 IP broadcasting router is designed to broadcast IP based audio broadcasting multi-session.
Firmware Upgradeable
AP-BCR5000 IP broadcasting router high performance processors is all programmable structure so that constant feature improvement, feature modification, and feature addition are possible. User may use the latest technologies without much effort by setting auto upgrade option or download directly from the AddPac homepage.
Remote Management
The remote device software upgrades and feature setup through telnet is possible. Also, it offers separate GUI based management system for several AP-BCR5000 broadcasting router environments in several sites.
