AP-HQA is a next generation IP broadcasting codec module which supports up to CD-level sound quality without buffering delay on the existing network environment. It is installed on AP1601, a broadcasting gateway, as well as AP2120, AP2520G etc.

AP-HQA is supposed to be installed on main and terminal IP broadcasting equipments such as AP3120 and AP1601, etc supporting various high quality audio codecs from G.711, G726 for voice-level sound quality up to Ogg Vorbis* for CD-level sound quality. Thanks to its PSB interface, the electric power on/off of the amplifier can be controlled at a remote site. MIC and headphone interfaces are combined to each unified audio-in and audio-out ports, which enables system to control those functions with software.
Network bandwidth is being rapidly increased twice as much a year. AP-HQA is a solid solution for current network environment of rapid bandwidth increase. AP-HQA eliminates buffering delay distinctively compared with streaming solution and provides CD-level sound quality which represents the principle that real-time capability is the most important character of IP Audio broadcasting. After all, It can be an ultimate solution for where high quality IP broadcasting is wished for.
