AddPac Technology Introduces the innovative and next generation IP based multipoint video conferencing solution that fully integrates video, audio and other collaborative data applications over any existing IP network. This comprehensive solution provides the most technically advanced multipoint video conferencing service to maximize customer satisfaction. AddPac's VCPP(Video Conference Provision Platform) solution features centralized hardware type, embedded MCU system with various models of video broadcasting terminals deployed at multiple end points for point to point and multipoint video/audio conferencing as well as real-time collaborative IP communications.

A Complete Video Conference Solution, AP-VCPP(Video Conference Provision Platform)

The components of AddPac's AP-VCPP solution consist of hardware type video MCU equipment(AP-MC1000, AP-MC5000), video gateway(AP-VG1000, AP-VG2000) using large screen TV such as PDP, LCD TV, video phone(AP-VP300) with built-in camera. AP-VCPP video components are designed on the foundation of RISC CPU + programmable DSP architecture with firmware upgradeable features providing high level of flexibility and scalability which are essential to keep pace with the inevitable technology and network environment changes including next generation networking protocol, IPv6.

Hardware Type Embedded MCU System Providing Robust Performance

AP-MC1000 MCU system for multipoint video conferencing features two(2) Fast Ethernet interfaces, a RS-232C console port for maintenance and two(2) hardware module slots for optional card. Hardware based MCU module(HIM-MCU4) and diverse network interface(V.35, ATM, POS) modules can be equipped in AP-MC1000's module slot interfaces. Designed on the foundation of parallel DSP architecture for real-time processing, MCU module provides a full suit of functionality for rich multipoint video conferencing experience including a wide range of transcoding coverage from voice band G.711, G.726 audio to audio/video signals. In addition, MCU processing capacity can be increased by 4 channels for high-resolution video processing and two or more AP-MC1000s can be cascaded to provide larger video conferencing among additional terminals or for network considerations.

Future proof Solution on the Foundation of Firmware Upgradeable Architecture

Designed on programmable high performance RISC CPU and DSP, AP-MC1000 and its terminal components such as AP-VG1000, AP-VG2000 and AP-VP300 are capable of adopting new capabilities and improvement by downloading firmware from website or with its auto-upgrade option as the customers' needs grow. Moreover, the latest video codec, H.264 is also implemented on firmware level which is capable of new codec services along with currently supported MPEG-4 and H.263.

A Totally Integrated Solution for Point to Point and Multipoint Conference

The existing PC based conferencing solutions have not been good enough for real-time live video processing and application. But now more than ever, service quality is getting crucial beyond conventional solutions, AddPac's AP-VCPP (Video Conference Provision Platform) delivers both the high quality, real-time live video conferencing and potent collaborative IP communication service with outstanding performance and stability while offering scalable and cost-effective growth as customers' demand increase. AP-MC1000 MCU equipment, AP-VG1000 and AP-VG2000 terminal equipments, optional component AP-VP300 video phone are designed on the foundation of hardware codec and high performance RISC CPU which are suitable for high quality video communication. In addition, latest codecs which are used for video compressing supports high quality video with stability even in converged network. This system supports maximum 30 fps VGA(640×480) based on the MPEG-4 and it is capable of controlling frame rate and bit rate according to the network availability.

Diverse networking features and advanced QoS function

AddPac's AP-VCPP solution not only provides various networking protocols, advanced QoS(Quality of Service) and error concealment for the IP video conferencing environment but also offers advanced features such as VRRP(Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) for load balancing and system failure prevent. It is well prepared for various circumstances occurring in unstable network environment.
