AP-VR2000 Video Service Router successfully integrates DSP based high-end video codec and robust WAN (ATM, leased line and etc.) router function. Delivering video and network service with minimized processing and transmission delay, it provides complete functionality and flexibility as high-quality network camera, CCTV and real-time video conferencing/ broadcasting solution.
AP-VR2000 is modular architecture equipment providing superior routing service and hardware video codec at single integrated platform. Its support of two(2)-port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet interface, one(1)-port RS232 Console and two(2) multiservice slots for WAN and video codec modules realizes both IP video transmission and WAN network service at one hardware platform.
Typical network video solution formed with separate video codec and WAN router often faces transmission and processing delay. AddPac AP-VR2000 is cutting-edge video service router embracing high-end DSP based hardware codec at module level realizing unprecedented quality of video communication.
AP-VR2000 codec module supports audio and video encoding based on H.263, MPEG-4, and cutting-edge video codec, H.264. Designed on programmable high-performance DSP, AP-VR2000 is capable of adopting new capabilities and advanced features by downloading new firmware from AddPac Homepage or with its auto-upgrade option as the customers\' needs grow. In case of MPEG-4, AP-VR2000 supports max. 30 frames of VGA (640×480) images and it is capable of control frame and bit rate according to the network condition. Also, the video codec module is equipped with the video, audio and control ports supporting CCD camera control and audio signal transmission.
Not only IGMP multicast protocol and QoS(Quality of Service) fine tuned for Video over IP, it also offers a wide array of routing services such as VRRP(Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) for fault tolerant and load balancing. Moreover, AP-VR2000 is ideally suited to meet the rapidly evolving communication network by supporting IPv6.
