Real-Time Live Multi-Channel Video Emergency Call Services
AddPac presents an advanced next-generation hardware-type video solution to a site that needs high quality real-time video emergency call services. AP-VEPP is an advanced device that enables high quality video to be transmitted and played in real-time since its basic components, which are AP5840 Video Broadcasting Server, AP-VP300, and AP-MC1000 MCU equipped with a voice MCU module, are embedded systems based on a hardware codec and high-performance RISC CPU. The reliability and high quality of the video compressed to MPEG4, H.263, or H.264 are ensured even on an integrated data network by using the state-of-the-art QoS algorithm and error recovery technology of AddPac. AP-VEPP processes VGA (640×480)-level video based on MPEG-4, which is a compression codec, by 30 frames per second to implement SD TV-level video in an IP network environment. Audio MCU and Screen Monitoring on Participants at Remote Site
By default, AP-VEPP should support voice hearing or answering for participants in an emergency call from a remote site interactively in real-time. Questions and answers from the participants should be able to be heard by the ones from several sites simultaneously. To enable this feature, AP-MC1000 supports multipoint audio MCU. In addition, AddPac AP-VEPP allows the chairman of an emergency call either in a county/city or at the headquarter to view a screen that displays the participants at a remote site while making an emergency call. AP-VP300 Video Phone supports an internal camera and a video encoder. AP-VR2000 is installed along with a large TV such as PDP and LCD TV at the place where the chairman is located, and functions as a multi-channel video decoder that displays the video data transferred from a remote site.
Advanced Hardware-Type Embedded MCU System
The AP-MC1000 MCU system of AddPac AP-VEPP is configured with two Fast Ethernet interfaces, the RS-232C console for equipment management, and two hardware module slot interfaces for optional cards. AP-MC1000 can be equipped with hardware-based voice MCU modules (e.g. HIM-MCUA1 and HIM-MCUA2) and various network interface modules (e.g. V.35, ATM, and POS). The hardware MCU module is a multipoint audio mixing device in an advanced DSP chip architecture for real-time processing, and enables 1:N multipoint conference calls in a centralized processing method. AP-VEPP supports the MCU feature for voice bandwidth signals such as G.711 and G.726 (HIM-MCUA1).
