AP-BCR3000 broadcasting router is a IP based video broadcasting router device, which operate along with AddPac IP camera, video encoder, and network DVR device. It supports to broadcast the compressed IP video bit stream in form of 1:N for broadcasting or multicasting broadcast. Video routing supports in form of Routing on Demand.
AddPac Network DVR solution is composed of IP camera, Network DVR server, and Smart DVR Viewer Client. AP-BCR3000 device can be used in application which requires several DVR Client services.
User may install 2 gigabit Ethernet module AIM2-GE2 (2-ports 10/100/1000Mbps gigabit Ethernet interface) in front of device. It also supports RS-232C console interface which provides CLI (Command Line Interface) function as system management and 2-ports 10/100M fast Ethernet.
It is applicable to various DVR application services such as A/V real time broadcasting, IP camera On Demand broadcasting service, and On Demand Smart Client Viewer service for Network DVR.
Real Time Video/Audio Broadcasting Service
It can be used as real time video broadcasting service router for DVR by using RTP protocol in government agencies, local governments, and companies. CCTV and DVR application service related real time broadcasting are possible in local government sector. It transmits video/audio signal to the several points concurrently through video broadcasting service (IP camera, network DVR, etc) + (AP-BCR3000 broadcasting router).
DVR Video Broadcasting, Multicasting, Relay Function
A required bandwidth in IP based DVR video (D1: 720x480, HD: 1280x720) is over 1Mbps~2Mbps bandwidth in D1 level even if you apply H.264 video codec. If the number of DVR video transmitting terminal nodes is a lot, lots of transmitting bandwidth and performance process are required to process broadcasting since required bandwidth of unicast network is each bandwidth x N (number of terminal nodes) in DVR encoder server side. If the IP based transmitting network is multicast network, it processes the broadcasting delivery function in network so that bandwidth transmitting load can be decreased in broadcasting server side by using IGMP protocol. However, It is rare to support multicasting transmit network through IGMP in enterprise network. So, IP broadcasting network is composed by using unicast network. Having hundreds of Mbps or number of Giga bps in server side (except when network configuration is star structure) causes the difficulty of design in network infrastructure. AP-BCR3000 broadcasting device is designed to meet the needs of flexible broadcasting, multicasting, and DVR relay service with consideration of IP based DVR video network. In case of DVR video relay service, relay broadcasting is possible to various sites by receiving DVR video data from AP-BCR3000 broadcasting router which is located in upper affiliation.
